Deep in the heart of Texas (27/8-2/9)

Well almost. See I had a little problem getting to Texas, Houston this time. And that was a little thing called a hurricane. Irene(hurricanes aren't always named after women, but they should be for the trouble they cause) was bearing down on the east coast and of course my flight was going to connect in Washington DC and then fly to Houston. Instead I had to switch airlines and connect out of Amsterdam.

I managed to get there in the end, no big drama, just a little windblown. We were working in Downtown Houston, which isn't that bad a place. I also managed to catch up with another old friend and fraternity brother from UNC - Will Leonard. It had easily been 10 or 12 years since I had seen him, so that was good. We did manage a few nights out around town but nothing crazy. But after a fairly calm week it as off to... well it was going to be straight to Stamford, CT but since it was Labor day weekend, I left to go to Richmond. I was meeting up with Orlaith to meet my family as everyone was getting together in Richmond. But more on that later...
