What can I say. After a
night on Playa
Blanca I went back to the hostel. I spent
the next few days hanging out by the pool, reading books, walking around the old city and generally relaxing. A couple of times a few of us stayed up all night on the roof terrace of the hostel to watch the sun rise. There were a few big parties on the roof and a lot of just hanging out.
But it was hot, always hot and none of the hostels
have hot water - so its been since September 1 since I have had a hot shower... but thats okay, haven't really wanted one. The cold water is refreshing and doesn't hurt on the sunburns...
Cartagena is a pretty city, with some hills to one side where
San Pedro Fort, the old walled city and the
n the stark contrasts of Boca Grande with its modern high rise apartments. The old city is
full of beautiful colonial architecture, just run down enough in some
places to add to its character.
Generally speaking for all of Colombia, the people
are always happy and nice. Even though I didn't do
much around Cartagena, I am glad I got to spend a lot of time there. If has good places to go out to at night too. And again, my camera had an accident so these photos are copied from friends I have made.
