So yesterday I moved nto the new flat and had a huge day out. We are in the middle of the Sydney Summer Festival. Its a few week s of music, movies, dance, theatre, opera and all kind of things. After finishing moving I went out the Domain (Botanical Gradens) for a free concert.
It was the Grammy award winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra directed by Oscar Hernandez and featuring special guest Jon Faddis. It was an awesome show. Thanks to some groups of people I have met (latin dance and spanish interest groups), we were in the front of the crowd (which numbered near 100,000). Some of the group got there at 7 am to get the spot. Afterwards it was off to a Salsa club in the Rocks called Vivaz for a couple hours of dancing. All in all it was a great time.
Early Sunday morning I heard a noise on the ledge of my new room's window. Opening the curtains I found two lorikeets staring at me. My flatmate had told me a pair came around and they feed them. So I went out to the balcony and hand fed the pair. They were really cool and beautifrul birds. The have green, orange, blue and other brilliant markings. Bakc to take a nap and then setup my new room and chill at the beach for a bit. Another fun weekend and unfortunately Monday is on the horizon.
