Also I have posted a few pictures. A couple of pics from around town, one or two of friends and such, including my current flatmates. Last week in Glasgow finished ok. No big dramas, got out once or twice in the evening for a walk around downtown, it was just ridiculously cold. Then back to London (economy class... return to MY people) and a quiet weekend. But two notes: best surnames ever -McWhirr (would have been better is she worked for an aviation company) and McCash (and he does work in finance - quality!). and best thing I saw in Glasgow - flashing neon signs (think the GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS!) signs from outside a "gentleman's" club or most corner sin downtown Fayetteville (back in the day), except these said KILTs! KILTS! KILTS! - hilarious, at least to me.
Tuesday was our office Christmas party, good times. It was formal dress so I had to arrange a dinner jacket (tux). It was different for me, considering the Greensboro parties were like 40 - 50 people, Sydney was like 150ish (and fancy dress?!), we had somewhere around 600 to 800 of the close to 2,000 (I think) people in London. It was about the usual, dinner band/DJ and a bit of fake casino. Then off to a club for a bit afterwards. It definitely made Wednesday (seriously who does a Christmas party on a Tuesday night?) tough. But thats what you train for.
Saturday I leave for Egypt. I have been taksed by one of our PAs to take our unofficial mascot (Cedric, a toy monkey) with me. So at least I have a traveling companion. Apparently people take turns taking it on trips for a laugh. Eh, whatever, sure I can find a way to make it entertaining. I know I should be able to check email in a few places along the way but not sure (other than Cairo and Dahab) really. So If I don't get to email or call, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
