On the road again

So in following up from my previous post...

I landed in Sydney at about 6:30 am. Cleared immigration, customs and whatnot by 8:15 and got on a train to the City. At about 8:30, the train stopped one station down from where I got on and announced due to brake troubles, all passengers had to disembark and catch the next train. Given the number of people now waiting and how crowded the trains are that early in the day, I managed to get the second train.

So I went into the City and up to the office. Now remember I am wearing the same clothes that I got on the plane with back in RDU, since I had to stay overnight in Chicago without my luggage. Once in the office, after being greeted with many puzzled looks as why I came into the office at all. I managed to shower and change. Luckily I had enough clean clothes to wear to my meetings.

After I was at least no longer offending anyone with my looks/smell, I got on the 11:15 train up to Newcastle (3 hrs). Once there I caught a cab out to the client and managed to participate in the final few hours of the meeting. Afterwards, we drove North for the next meeting. 4 hours that night and then 3.5 the next day, we finally arrived at our final meeting in Lismore. Our meetings went all day and we caught the evening flight back to Sydney. So finally after flying halfway around the world, riding (train/car) 10+ hours up the length of NSW, I was finally returning to my apartment. I got in around 8/8:30 and was asleep by 9:30. Got to love coming back to work. Good thing jet lag hasn't really bothered me.
